Who we are
Gaindex is a community-driven protein powder review database. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account info — when you sign in with Google, we store your email address and a unique user ID. We do not receive your Google password.
- Reviews — the ratings, text, and timestamps you submit for products are linked to your account.
- Cookies — we set a single authentication cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
What we don't collect
We do not collect IP addresses for tracking, do not run third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and do not sell or share your data with anyone. We have no payment processing.
How we use your data
Your email is used only to identify you when signing in. Your reviews are displayed publicly on the product pages, attributed to your user account. We do not email you marketing material.
Where data is stored
All data is stored in Supabase (Postgres), hosted in the United States. Authentication is handled by Google OAuth.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated reviews at any time by emailing us. Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered. You can also sign out of your account at any time using the “Sign out” button in the navigation bar.
Children
Gaindex is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us so we can remove the account.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
